Sansevieria plants are known for their strong upright leaves, distinctive markings and ability to bring a clean architectural look to an indoor plant collection. Commonly called snake plants, they are available in many different forms, from narrow upright leaves to shorter varieties with broader foliage and interesting patterns.
At Plantastic 4, we offer Sansevieria plants grown in Thailand in a selection of sizes and forms. Their relatively compact growth makes them useful for homes, offices, plant displays and other spaces where a vertical plant can add greenery without requiring a large amount of floor space.
One of the appealing characteristics of Sansevieria is the variety of foliage available. Depending on the plant, leaves can be tall and narrow, short and broad, twisted, cylindrical or arranged in compact rosettes. Green, silver, yellow-edged and patterned foliage can also create very different appearances within the group.
Sansevieria generally prefers a bright location but can adapt to a range of indoor lighting conditions. Watering should be managed carefully because these plants store moisture in their leaves and underground structures. Allowing the growing medium to dry appropriately between waterings is usually safer than keeping it constantly wet.
Although Sansevieria is often described as an easy-care plant, good drainage and sensible watering remain important. Excessive moisture can cause problems even when the plant appears healthy on the surface.
Our Sansevieria plants are supplied from Thailand. Plants may need time to adjust after transportation, especially when moving from warm nursery conditions into a cooler, drier or lower-light environment.
